The Stratford daybed can be considered a traditional Louis Philippe sleigh style because of its camelback-shaped rear panel and curved arms, but where it departs from that classification is the widened stance of the post bottoms, which adds an Asian flair. With that flared touch, the design is updated almost to the brink of contemporary. The lines are simple and clean; a series of curves formed into a daybed. The stance of the Stratford is quite wide. The curve of the tops of the arms stretch the back out to 91”, and the height of the top of the back is 44”. The arms are a standard 40” wide to house a regulation twin mattress. The daybed is made of an Asian hardwood and finished in a deep Mahogany color. It can accommodate an optional trundle unit, for additional sleeping.
