The Woodbridge Collection Macintosh Bed is handcrafted from solid Cherry wood for durability, longevity and elegance. The graceful lines in the headboard and footboard provide a unique look to any bedroom. All furniture tops, drawer fronts, face frames and molding are solid cherry. This hardwood bedroom furniture is known for it's fine, tight grain patterns. Boasting a warm, rich natural reddish-brown tone, the wood from the cherry tree evokes elegance and can be described in one word "Beautiful". Tops and drawer fronts are solid cherry pieces assembled in a reverse cross-grain orientation to prevent warping or cracking. All four drawer sides are solid aromatic cedar as well as the drawer bottoms, ensuring clothing smells fresh. The solid cedar drawer sides are joined with the most secure English dovetail method for extreme durability and exquisite craftsmanship. The drawer fronts are 5-pieces of solid cherry forming a frame and a beveled edge center panel insert utilizing tongue and groove joinery. 2x2" cherry posts form the corners of the bedroom furniture extend from the top all the way to the floor, forming legs which hold the furniture off the floor allowing freedom of placement in the room, without the worry of covering a ventilation duct.
